生长素是一种多功能肽类激素,有多种生物学作用,对于生长素的研究已经开展了十几年了,除了通过其受体(GHS-R)介导生长激素的释放,生长素也参与了一系列的生物学功能,包括调节食物摄入量、睡眠、体重、血糖和胰岛素的代谢、肠胃蠕动、心血管功能、细胞增殖、炎性细胞因子等,最近发现,在男性和女性生殖系统的相关细胞及鱼类、鸟类和哺乳动物的生殖细胞,都有生长素和其受体的表达。本文主要阐述生长素可通过下丘脑-垂体-性腺轴影响生殖。
