Menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon of women, menstrual flow marks the beginning of the female into the puberty. In order to understand the timing of menarche in northern China, we investigated the time of menarche in primary and secondary school students and their understanding of menarche in Jinan in 1991. In this survey, 1,443 students from 6 primary and secondary schools affiliated to Shandong Normal University, Qianfoshan Primary School, Wenhua East Road Primary School, Sanhejie Primary School, Shandong Normal University No. 2 Affiliated Middle School and Jinan No. 22 Middle School in Jinan City 16-year-old female students as survey subjects. When the survey is assisted by the school doctor or class teacher, the students fill in a unified questionnaire and make adjustments
