Electrophysiology studies indicate that the orbital gyrus is one of the representative regions of the vagus nerve cortex, mainly related to the changes of blood pressure and respiration. Brodal’s anterograde degeneration has demonstrated extensive projection of the outgoing fibers in the anterior or middle orbit of the orbit. However, morphological studies on the projection of the outgoing fibers in the posterior orbital gyrus have not been reported yet. In this study, Fink-Heimer silver immersion was used to investigate the projection of the outgoing fibers from the orbital back to other cortices, thalamus and brainstem. In this experiment, 6 cats were used, and the left orbital gyrus was injured by electrocoagulation. The postoperative survival time was 7-9 days. Frozen serial sections
