Locke’s “Theories on Government” is a controversial piece of work that deals with Philmer’s “patriarchy.” In Philmer’s view, the monarchy is derived from the natural patriarchal power of the family. People naturally live in the family and obey the will of their father, so that nature is not free. Locke opposed Philmer at the same time, the patriarchy, sovereignty, property rights are three separate, patriarchal only belong to the minors, it is not based on the power of nature, but only to make up for the deficiencies of children’s ability to reason and Generated obligations. The relationship between husband and wife is no longer sacred, but only for the purpose of childbearing and upbringing contract. Locke’s family of political ideology is particularly vulnerable.
