In her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel Beloved, African-American author Tony Morrison recounted her experience of running away from her in the United States to exterminate her daughter, Ensse, to protect her daughter. The novel profoundly reveals that motherhood and maternal love formed under the background of slavery in the United States have been completely different from maternal love under the common concept. The impact of cruel slavery on black psychology has surpassed the suffering they themselves suffered. In order for the children not to repeat their tragic fate as slaves, Seth decided to kill one of her own daughters. This is an unusual maternal love or cruelty that many ordinary people call the background of the story and the nightmare of the past that the child never stopped after 18 years of death gave us the answer.
