扬子区(扬子地台)是冈瓦纳早寒武世成磷区的重要组成部分。扬子区早寒武世磷块岩矿床,是我国最重要的磷块岩矿床。扬子区早寒武世磷块岩包括两个含磷层位,即分别为云南梅树村组中谊村段和八道湾段所代表的年代地层单位。根据岩性、生物组合、沉积相旋回特征分析,前者与麦地坪组(川)、宽川铺组(陕)、戈仲伍段和冒龙井段(黔)相当。留茶坡组(湘)、西峰寺组(淅)及皮园村组(皖)顶部地层应有与之相当的部分。后者与九老洞组(川)、郭家坝组
The Yangtze (Yangtze Platform) is an important part of the Gondwana Phosphorus Formation in the Early Cambrian. The Early Cambrian phosphorite deposit in the Yangtze area is the most important phosphate rock deposit in China.
