琥珀香甜瓜是厚皮甜瓜新品种。河南省中牟县1997—1999年度区域实验表明,其产量比丰甜一号增产15.8％,品质佳、抗病性强,具有较高的推广价值。 该品种极早熟,全生育期80—85天。果实长椭圆形,肉厚3.1厘米,外观金黄色,10条玉白色纵沟相间分布,果肉精细洁白,口感甜脆,清香爽口,糖度为16度,单果重1.0公斤,667平方米产2500～3500公斤。其栽培要点如下:
Amber sweet melon is a new variety of muskmelon.
