The participants were professors and scholars from Beijing, Shanghai and other places in China More than 60 experts. In addition to reading out the main points of the dissertation, the deputies held a friendly and frank academic exchange and discussion on several hot issues in current music circles in our country. When some representatives talked about the absence of peasant songs in our country in the new era, the participants resonated. In particular, Chen Fa-ren, director of the Provincial Department of Culture and chairman of the provincial audio-arts association, spoke specifically about where he went to work in the countryside as a college student in the 1960s. So far farmers are still singing “members are sunny flower”. He was very excited. He called on composers and word writers to write songs for peasants and called on critics to do more public opinion orientation and appraisal for rural songs. He said: We can not afford to lose this piece of music and culture in rural areas. Fatan comrade’s speech, aroused my thoughts. More aroused some of my association:
