Hypertension affects the progression of diabetes. However, the relationship between normal high blood pressure (more than the 90th percentile of blood pressure at this age but less than 140 / 90mmHg) and early diabetic nephropathy is unknown. Microalbuminuria is common in young people with type 1 diabetes and normal blood pressure. This article aims to understand the relationship between diabetic patients with normal high blood pressure and microalbuminuria. Patients and Methods The study population consisted of 230 young patients with type 1 diabetes who were observed for at least 3 years with an average of 6.6 years. Age of not less than 14 years old, diabetes duration in more than 5 years. Urine microalbumin excretion was measured more than twice in 1986 ~ 1987. Urine specimens collected the night before asked no exercise, no drinking or coffee, menstrual period, pregnancy and urinary tract
