第六代导演似乎不再是中国电影传统的传承者,相反却是颠覆者——第五代在形式上颠覆了他们的前辈,而第六代无论在主题还是形式上又都颠覆了第五代。新生代导演的选题更加天马行空。他们迥异的个人风格,更趋于关怀个人内心的主题,对重大意义、宏大主题的回避与消解,使他们的电影看起来不同于以往但也没有多少共性可言。这两代影人折射出了中国电影的许多现象。
The sixth generation seems to be no longer the traditional successor of Chinese cinema but rather the subversive - the fifth generation formally subverting their predecessors while the sixth generation subverts the fifth in terms of both the subject and the form generation.
