Objective: To prospectively evaluate the incidence of thyroid hypothyroidism in 137 patients with throat cancer (84.7% in laryngeal cancer and 15.3% in hypopharyngeal carcinoma) undergoing surgery or / and radiotherapy from 2004 to 2006. Materials and Methods: Laboratory tests were performed on patients with laryngeal or hypopharyngeal cancer before primary treatment or salvage treatment.
