A survey of world economists completed recently by the IFO Institute in Germany shows that the confidence index of world economists continued to rise in the first quarter of 2014. Economists are more optimistic about the assessment of the current economic situation and are still optimistic about the economic development in the next six months. In the first quarter, the world’s economists’ sentiment index rose to 103.2, much higher than its historical average (1998- 2013 average: 95.5).
