The differential equilibrium analysis of BaCuO_2-YCuO_ (2.5) pseudo binary system has been carried out by differential thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction. The system is separated by a binary line between Y 2 BaCuO 5 and CuO, resulting in two new compounds, YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 (7-δ) and Y 2 BaCuO 5, and YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 (7-δ) formed by peritectic reaction At 1020 ℃ ± 3 ℃, the peritectic reaction is: Y_2BaCuO_5 + L (?)
