Embankment fill embankment or along the original embankment widening is often used in high-grade road reconstruction and expansion of the embankment after the original embankment of the stability of the impact of what kind of impact, the embankment itself, the stability and deformation and damage what is Characteristics, is currently the urgent need to solve the problems along the highway expansion project. Combined with the site investigation and indoor and outdoor test results based on the project, a finite element model was established to simulate and analyze the stability of the original embankment and the embankment before and after embankment filling and different seepage conditions. The calculation results show that the embankment filling is beneficial to improve the stability of the original embankment and the stability safety factor can be increased by about 26%. The embankment filled by the embankment is affected by many factors and prone to large differential settlement, The settlement time is long, the settlement is large and the post-construction settlement reaches about 35% of the total settlement. The embankment filled with dikes usually only has shear instability damage on the slope far away from the original dyke, and the influence of seepage on the stability of dikes Smaller, and will not change the destruction mode of the embankment. Numerical simulation can reveal the stability of embankment and the mode of deformation and failure before embankment construction, so as to provide basis and references for the engineering design of the next step.
