Following the discovery by immunofluorescence of viral antigens in bone marrow nucleated cells of patients with hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and the isolation of HFRS virus from bone marrow nucleated cells using Veto-E_6 cells (Chen Siyi, et al. Fourth Military Medical University Journal 1986; 7 (1): 49). To understand the manner and status of the presence of HFRS virus in the bone marrow and lymph node cells of patients, ultrastructural observations were made, and HFRS virus and ultrastructural changes were preliminarily observed in both organ cells. Ten cases of bone marrow were taken from the posterior superior iliac spine of HFRS patients
