Erythropoietin (ESF) produces a major site in the kidneys, and the underlying stimulus is the hypoxia in the kidney proximal cells. It is known that sympathetic activity generally increases when an animal is exposed to depression or due to anemic hypoxia. Therefore, it seems that changing the sympathetic activity can affect erythropoiesis response during hypoxia. There have been reports of an increase in plasma ESF levels following noradrenaline injection in dogs and a reduction of hypoxemic erythropoiesis in peripheral or central pathways that block the renal sympathetic pathways. There are also reports of hypoxia
