应用摄食行为观察法,研究了氧化三甲胺(TM AO)对南美白对虾的诱食活性。结果表明,TM AO对南美白对虾具有强烈的引诱和促摄食作用,与甘氨酸、丙氨酸、蛋氨酸、赖氨酸、苯丙氨酸、甜菜碱和2-甲基-β-丙噻啶(DM PT)相比,其表现出了最短的第一反应时间和最多的吞食颗粒数;TM AO添加量为0.5~3.0 g/kg时,南美白对虾对饵料的第一反应时间随TM AO添加量的增加而缩短,30 m in内吞食饲料的颗粒数随TM AO添加量的增加而提高。由此可以断定TM AO是一种良好的对虾诱食物质。
