This article explores the trade between the company and China in the 18th century from several perspectives on the basis of the shipping ledger (Official Diary) of Danish Asian company Fredensborg Slot six flights (1765-1777). This article focuses on the structure of the ship, the composition of the crew, the course of navigation, sickness and death, the heritage of the crew, and the law enforced in the company’s voyage. The list of auctioned crew crews who died halfway through the voyage is particularly important as they reveal the material conditions and standard of living of the crews at that time. Many of the items came from China, especially the voyage back to Denmark, where crew members often carried large quantities of Nanjing cotton and silk fabrics, cups and other porcelain items. In some crews’ lockers, Chinese shoes, tortoise shells, lacquerware and other things are also found.
