一九五二年的春节来到了!我仅代表全省人民向所有在山西休养的中国人民志愿军和中央人民解放军的伤病员同志们致敬!向全省革命残废军人同志们致敬!向全省革命烈士家属和革命军人家属致敬!全省人民在今天热烈欢度春节的时候,我们应当深刻地想一下,我们为什么能在国内进行政治、经济、文化建设事业和过着愉快的生活呢?一句话,应归功于中国人民志愿军与朝鲜人民军在朝鲜战场上英勇地打击了美帝国主义者;应归功于中国人民解放军胜利地解放了中国大陆全部,肃清了一切反革命匪帮,巩固了国防。我们怎样来报答他们呢?就是对前线要全力支援,对伤病员同志要爱护慰问,对革命残废军人要尊敬帮助,对革命烈士家属与革命军人家属要保证其生活,解决其日常困难。而其中最大量最为前线所关心的,就是如何安置革命残废军人与保证革命烈士家属与革命军人家属的生活问题。也就是说如何把优抚工作做好。
On the Spring Festival of 1952, I just paid tribute to all the Chinese People’s Volunteers who have recuperated in Shanxi and the sick and wounded comrades of the Central Plains People’s Liberation Army on behalf of the entire province. They paid tribute to all the disabled comrades in the revolution in the province, People of the revolutionary martyrs pay tribute to the families of the revolutionary soldiers! When the people of the province warmly celebrate the Spring Festival today, we should think deeply about why we can carry out political, economic and cultural undertakings and live a happy life in our country. Thanks to the heroic crackdown on the US imperialists by the Chinese People’s Volunteers Army and the Korean People’s Army on the battlefield in North Korea. It should be attributed to the liberation by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army of all the Chinese mainland, the elimination of all counterrevolutionary bandits and the consolidation of national defense. How can we repay them? It is to fully support the frontline, to cherish sympathy for sick and wounded comrades, to respect and assist disabled criminals, to ensure their lives and to solve their daily difficulties with the families of revolutionary martyrs and revolutionary soldiers. And the most frontier line of greatest concern is the issue of how to place the disabled disabled soldiers and the families of the revolutionary martyrs and the families of the revolutionary soldiers. In other words, how to make good care work well.
