新疆地区所产的莫合烟,属于黄花烟,按调制方法属晒烟,主要利用烟茎制成颗粒,再混合烟叶,用纸卷成烟卷吸用。由于其化学成分中烟碱、总氮及蛋白质含量高,所以烟味浓烈,劲头大,是新疆各族人民喜爱的烟制品。现就其栽培技术措施,简要介绍如下。一、选地与轮作莫合烟适宜于肥沃、松软的沙质壤土,凡质地粘重、盐碱地均不宜种植。为合理利用土地和减少病虫害,必须进行轮作倒茬,最好的前作是多年生豆科与禾本科牧草、甜菜等,麦茬地、玉米地次之。不宜以大麻、向日葵作为前作。连作会造成列当为害,连作三年莫合烟死亡率可达20—30%。
