娄东画派的绘画是娄东文化的最重要组成部分。在明末清初我国山水画发展的重要历史时期中,绘画流派云集,娄东画派的诞生极具代表性,是清代最大的山水画派。“娄水文华——南京博物院藏清代娄东绘画回乡特展”于10月2日在太仓博物馆开幕,展期两个月,让我们有机会零距离接触娄东画派及其传承者创造出的绘画成果。王时敏是娄东画派的奠基者,而王原祁则是娄东画派的领袖。数百年间,娄东画派的绘画观念和审美趣味在宫廷和民间都产生了深远的影响,不仅主导了清代文人画的发展,推动了文人新山水画格调的形成,而且也促进了清代宫廷画与文人画的合流,促使山水画产生新的裂变和突破,充分体现出强劲的艺术生命力。
