The so-called “silver hair market” is a market for the elderly to provide goods, services and information. In Shangdian in July 2003, according to the latest statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, the population aged over 60 is 130 million, accounting for 10% of the total population. In other words, China officially entered the “age of old”. According to predictions from relevant state agencies, the elderly population in China will exceed 300 million in the middle of this century, accounting for 20.8% of the country’s population. This change in the population structure in China will inevitably increase the consumption of old-age entrances, and this will also create a unique market, the “silver hair market”.
