从小说分类看,《歧路灯》《红楼梦》皆为世情小说,且产生时间很接近:《红楼梦》(前八十回)和《歧路灯》出现的时间分别是乾隆二十七年、乾隆四十二年。《红楼梦》闪耀着叛逆的光芒,满篇皆谈情,《歧路灯》则兢兢业业忠于说教,处处抑情。同一时代,同一类别的作品,表现出如此截然不同的特质,此间差异的产生原因值得作一番探讨。
According to the classification of the novels, “Crossroads of Lights” and “Dream of Red Mansions” are all world novels, and the production time is very close: The time of appearance of “Dream of Red Mansions” (former eighty times) and “Crossroads of Lights” are respectively twenty- Twelve years. “Dream of Red Mansions” shines with the rebellious light, full of articles are all talk, “Crossroads lamp” is dedicated to preaching, always suppressing. In the same era, the same type of work shows such distinct characteristics that the causes of the differences here deserve some discussion.
