函数涉及的是变量数学,变量数学较之常量数学能更深刻地反映客观世界中数与形的关系.因而,函数成为近代数学很多分支的基础.函数与方程、不等式等基础知识有密切的联系,用函数的观点能更透彻理解这些基础知识.下面举例说明函数的概念和性质在解题中的作用.
Functions involve variable mathematics. Variable mathematics can reflect the relationship between number and shape in the objective world more profoundly than constant mathematics. Therefore, functions become the basis of many branches of modern mathematics. Functions are closely related to basic knowledge such as equations and inequalities. The use of the function’s point of view can provide a more thorough understanding of these basic knowledge. Here is an example of the function of the concept and nature of the function in solving problems.
