An OK100 flotation machine was installed at the zinc circuit of the Picknuinco plant in Brooken, and was used as a roughing machine for zinc since 1994. This article details the experience of using this machine for production and research. The OK100 flotation machine installed at Brockenhill’s mill zinc process is much taller and thinner than the current industrial flotation machine of the same capacity. The machine uses the traditional Outokumpu multiple mixing mechanism and has a deep tank with an adjustable foam trap (booster cone). It is also equipped with baffles to reduce the rotation vector caused by the rotor. The OK100 flotation machine is a 104 ml ~ 3 flotation machine with a single rotor / stator assembly. The following aspects of the OK100 flotation machine were investigated: surface gas velocity, air content, bubble size, loading rate, suspension kinetics, residence time, mass flow, grade, different operating parameters Speed) recovery curve under the conditions. Details on surface gas velocity (Jg) and air content measurements are given. This article also describes operational and maintenance issues.
