豫林一号泡桐是从白花泡桐(Paulownia fortunei)天然杂交种中选育出的优良无性系。是在河南郑州、睢县、禹县等八个地区,先后将三十多个泡桐种、变种、优树,类型等进行区域性对比,抗逆性,适应性试验和生物学,生态学的观察研究筛选而成的。8年的试验研究结果证明该泡桐生长快,平均单株材积比当地主要栽培的兰考泡桐(Paulownia elongata)大50％以上,并具有干型好,抗逆性强、适应性广等优良特性,是生产上很有价值的泡桐良种。
