“商人是这个世界变化的起点”。岂止如此,当代社会的发展已经进入以文化为资本的新经济时代,商业愈来愈凸现主导社会时尚的趋向。从建国以来,中国人就习惯以几大件作为家庭财富的标志,上个世纪六十年代流行自行车、缝纫机、收音机,到八十年代电视机、冰箱、洗衣机,再到21世纪的电脑、商品房和轿车,这三大件的级级升格,说明了生活水平的提高,也反映了平民大众核算财富的标准已从职位、工资转向商品,近年来又兴起民间金融。商品观念在民众意识中的崛起,是从小农社会向工业社会,从计划经济向市场经济,这双重转型中价值观的一大变化。
