针对Metasearch存在的检索效率低、数据库提供商对其支持不足等问题,指出标准化是推动Metasearch进一步发展的重要途径,而标准化工作的实施依赖于元数据。通过回顾从上个世纪70年代至今的Metasearch标准化历程,包括Z39.50、ZING、STARTS/SDLIP/SDARTS、OAI、IESR AP、NISO Metasearch Initiative的产生、发展等,对已有的研究成果进行分析评价,并结合系统开发经验,提出Metasearch标准化的改进方向。
In view of the low retrieval efficiency of Metasearch and the lack of support from database providers, the paper points out that standardization is an important way to promote the further development of Metasearch, and the implementation of standardization depends on the metadata. By reviewing the Metasearch standardization process from the 1970s to the present, including the generation and development of Z39.50, ZING, STARTS / SDLIP / SDARTS, OAI, IESR AP and NISO Metasearch Initiative, the existing research results were analyzed and evaluated , Combined with system development experience, put forward the direction of improvement of Metasearch standardization.
