Energy supply is the material basis and constraint factor of economic development. However, Guangdong Province is a province that is seriously in short supply. Therefore, in the next one to two decades, whether or not the contradiction between energy supply and demand can be resolved will directly affect the speed and scale of future economic development in Shenzhen and Guangdong. Shenzhen University’s New Energy Research Institute is willing to work with its peers in the scientific and technological community to collaborate with the industrial enthusiasts to work together to meet the challenges of energy shortages and contribute to this. Our institute was established in 1984. Over the past few years, we have focused on solar energy application technology research. We have used free solar energy resources to benefit human feces. We have promoted and applied solar water heaters and solar navigation light technology in Shenzhen and the Pearl River Delta.
