Nearly half a century, the global climate problem is worsening day by day, many ecologically inclined writers in Europe and the United States are worried about this. Hamers Macdonald, a Canadian-born writer who lives in Scotland, is no exception. His novel “Limit” points out the shortcomings of the current situation and looks to the future to explore the possibility of humankind facing the crisis and even the catastrophe one day. From the point of view of ecocriticism, the novel profoundly reflects the ecologicalist tendency of literature on climate disasters in terms of channels of dissemination, creative motivation and theme.
