庞涛1934年生于上海。中央美术学院油画系教授。父亲是推动现代艺术发展的重要人物庞薰,母亲是才艺非凡的油画家丘堤。1947年与1948年,与其弟庞均先后在广州、上海举办双人展,从此进入中国艺坛。1949年同时考入中央美术学院和杭州国立艺专(前中国美术学院)。1953年毕业于中央美术学院,1955年该院研究生毕业后留校执教。80年代中期先后赴欧美考察,回国后著《现代法国绘画材料》《绘画材料研究》,获“文化部科技进步三等奖及北京市文化科技进步一等奖。1992年”青铜的启示“系列作品参加联合国科教文组织的24届国际艺术节,获展览奖。多年来作品参加各类重大展览70余次,并在法国、美国、加拿大、西班牙、日本、俄罗斯以及我国香港、台湾等地区展出。
Pang Tao was born in Shanghai in 1934. Central Academy of Fine Arts professor of oil painting. His father is an important figure in promoting the development of modern art.
