Results ① The overall mental health of some recruits was good. SCL-90 index compared with the Chinese norm, except for somatization, forcing and anxiety factors, the other factors were lower than the military norm (t = 14.52 ~ 3.05, P <0.01). ②The scores of SCL-90 were lower than that of Chinese recruits (t = 10.28-2.80, P <0.01), except for the number of positive items and the factors of somatization, compulsion and anxiety, . ③ The only child except for somatization factor scores, the remaining scores were lower than the non-only son, and except somatization and hostility differences were significant. (4) In addition to somatization, recruits recruited in cities and townships had lower scores of all factors than recruits from rural areas. Which somatization, obsessive-compulsive disorder and psychotic factors have significant differences. Conclusion The overall psychological health of recruits is good, but the psychological adverse reactions of a few recruits should be emphasized, psychological health education should be strengthened, and targeted psychological counseling should be carried out.
