近年来我院收治扁桃体周围脓肿40例,除1例脓肿自行破溃,4例切开引流者外,其余35例均采用局部穿刺抽脓和全身给予抗生素治疗,效果尚称满意,现报道如下。一、患者情况:本文40例中,男性31例,女性9例。年龄最小9岁,最大56岁。发病部位多为单侧,两测同时发病者罕见。其中右侧19例,左侧20例,双侧者1例。后上部及前下部各1例,其余38例均位于前上部,占95%。二、临床表现:发病初期,脓肿尚未形成,其症状与急性化脓性扁桃体炎或扁桃体周围炎相同。发病2～3天以后,咽痛偏向一侧,且逐渐加剧,出现吞咽困难,说话含糊不清等症状。软腭水肿明显
