亨利·G·吉尔默顿桥(Henry G Gilmerton Bridge)是一座开启桥,位于美国弗吉尼亚州东南部,跨越伊丽莎白河,日交通量约35 000辆车。该桥的开启跨通航净高3.4 m,每年的开启次数约7 500次。该桥在未来还需要承受交通荷载持续增长带来的压力,并且要帮助缓解该地区的交通拥堵问题。因此决定修建新桥替换旧桥,替换桥在旧桥线路上修建(见图1)。
Henry G Gilmerton Bridge is an open bridge, located in the southeastern United States of Virginia, across the Elizabeth River, traffic about 35,000 vehicles per day. The bridge has a net opening height of 3.4 m and an annual opening of about 7 500 times. The bridge will also need to withstand the pressures of continued traffic growth in the future and to help ease traffic congestion in the area. Therefore decided to build a new bridge to replace the old bridge, the replacement bridge in the old bridge line construction (see Figure 1).
