The liquid extract (0174) prepared from the cinchona bark contains 4.0% to 5.0% of total alkaloids, of which 30% to 40% is quinine (molecular formula C20H24N2O2; molecular weight 324.4). Cinnamomum bark liquid standard extracts were prepared from ethanol (30% to 90%, volume fraction, the same below) or diluted hydrochloric acid-ethanol (96%)-glycerol-water (1:2:5:20). This product is a brownish red liquid with bitter taste. Differential TLC (2.2
