《聊斋志异》代表着中国古代文言短篇小说的最高成就,它的西传对于弘扬中国传统文化和促进中西方文化交流起着举足轻重的作用。本文从情节内容的准确传达上对《中国评论》刊载的《聊斋志异》进行分析研究。《中国评论》上所刊载的聊斋故事共19篇,由英国驻华使者阿连璧翻译,于1873年至1875年连载在《中国评论》第二卷第六期至第四卷第一期上。译者并未采用“字比句次”的直译方式,而是将“归化”与“异化”两种策略相
Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio represents the highest achievement of ancient Chinese short stories, and its western tradition plays a decisive role in promoting Chinese traditional culture and promoting Sino-Western cultural exchange. This article analyzes and studies the “Strange Tales of Liaozhai Studio” published in “China Review” from the accurate communication of plot contents. A total of 19 stories were published in the China Review, translated by A Lianbi, the British ambassador to China. They were also published in the first issue of Volume II, Volume 6 to Volume 4 of China Review from 1873 to 1875 . The translator did not adopt the literal translation of “words than sentences”, but instead used the two strategies of “naturalization” and “alienation”
