Objective To investigate whether all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) can induce acute promyelocytic leukemia (API) cells to be mature dendritic cells (DCs), to treat APL as tumor vaccine and to solve minimal residual disease (MDR) and relapse problem. Methods The bone marrow mononuclear cells from the newly diagnosed APL patients with characteristic chromosomal abnormalities t (15; 17) (q22; q21) and the acute promyelocytic leukemia HL-60 cell line were collected and cultured in complete medium
