1992年7月16～18日,水利水电规划设计总院在长春市召开了《全国可能最大暴雨(PMP)经验交流会》.参加会议的有各流域机构及设计院、南京水文水资研究所、部属设计院、部分省(区)设计院等23个单位的44名代表。美国国家天气局水文气象专家汉森和在美国工作的林炳章先生也来信向会议表示祝贺!以会代表一致认为。自1983年召开《大型水利水电工程 PMP 工作总结会》以来,国内国外对 PMP这门学科有了进一步的发展。计算方法也有了很大的改进和提高.因此,召开这次经验交流会是完全必要的和非常及时的。
