光束偏转器的两个轴之间的光耦合,采用反射式中继系统很容易实现。这种系统与折射式比较损耗小,成本低,而且容易调整。主要的缺点是,中继系统必须偏轴工作,在按另一种形式的正交扫描轴之间产生了相互影响。然而这种相互影响可以用电的方法,即在偏转放大器之间加上一个适当的耦合网络来得到消除。反射式中继系统的样机已经运用,而且达到了每轴大于1000个可分辨单元的分辨力(用2cm孔径),其精度大于0.5%。
The optical coupling between the two axes of the beam deflector is very easy to implement with a reflective relay system. This system is less lossy, less expensive, and easier to adjust than refractive. The main disadvantage is that relay systems must work off-axis and interact with one another in orthogonal scan axes. However, this interaction can be eliminated electronically by adding an appropriate coupling network between the deflection amplifiers. Prototypes for reflective relay systems have been used and have achieved resolution of more than 1000 resolvable elements per axis (with 2cm aperture) with accuracies greater than 0.5%.
