狄仁杰是唐代著名的政治家,史称“唐祚中兴,诤由狄公”,以正直敢言名世.狄仁杰(629—700)，并州太原（今山西太原）人。前半生较为平淡，47岁为大理寺丞，是审判官，在一年左右手的时间里判决多年“滞狱”一万七千多件，当向被告家属询问意见时，没有喊冤叫屈的。锹仁杰刚正耿直，不避权幸，又不计个人恩怨。他任豫州刺史时，适逢越工李贞起兵，反对武则天称帝。朝延派张光辅带兵镇压，乱平后，“将士恃功，多所求取”。狄仁杰不但予以拒绝，而且面斥张光辅说：你身为统帅不能约束部下，纵容残暴，是死了一个李同，又出了上万个李贞，我恨不能得到尚方宝剑，割下你的首级。由于张光辅进谗，狄仁杰被降职。不久，又擢升为宰相。武则天对狄仁杰说：你在豫州做了许多好事，但有人谗毁你，你知道是谁吗？答曰：“臣不愿知道！”豁达大度，展现了一代名臣风范。 Di Renjie is a famous politician in the Tang Dynasty, known as “Tang Xun ZTE, Di Di by” dignified worldly.
