褐稻虱Nilaparvata lugens Stal是一种嗜食水稻,食性单一的害虫。广西农科院用32种杂草和作物饲养结果,除水稻外,只在幼嫩的茭白和早熟禾上能完成世代,但在自然情况下其上未有褐稻虱为害。广东农科院用7种杂草饲养也没有成功,但发现普遍野生稻OryzaSativa f.spontanea是一种重要寄主。1974年我组曾用千金子,双穗雀稗、狗牙根、游草、香附子、水娱蚣、稗草等杂草饲养结果皆不适于褐稻虱生育,成虫虽能在草茎上产卵和孵化,但孵化出来的若虫不能成活。 褐稻虱只食水稻,而水稻的不同营养素质对褐稻虱的生长发育和繁殖有何影响?这是值得探讨的问题。本文根据1973—1979年的观察结果作一些粗浅的阐述。 Brown planthopper Nilaparvata lugens Stal is a pest-eating pest that feeds on rice.
