在我国公路、城市道路、工矿企业道路以及飞机场的修建和改造中,水泥混凝土路面所占的比例日益增大,而且目前所筑的水泥混凝土路面的厚度一般在20~24cm之间,材料用量相当可观。若采用钢纤维混凝土修筑路面,则可大幅度地减薄路面的厚度,节省材料;可大大延长路面伸缩缝间距,提高路面平整度,减小因车辆通过伸缩缝时所产生的噪音;亦减小温差应力,显著地延长路面寿命,降低路面的养护维修费用。
