Pilon骨折是胫骨远端涉及关节面的骨折，创伤常导致关节面嵌顿、移位以及干骺端粉碎。由于Pilon骨折的致伤原因多为高能量损伤，即使损伤是闭合性的，小腿远端内侧软组织也可能会大部分坏死，加之胫骨下端皮肤软组织与骨骼紧密相连，可变空间小，血液循环较差，给骨折的处理带来困难。
