电和磁主要内容包括:磁体的性质及磁极间相互作用的规律;磁场和磁感线;电流的磁场,判断通电螺线管的磁场方向和电流方向;电磁铁、电磁继电器的工作原理及影响电磁铁磁性强弱的因素;产生感应电流的二个必要条件;磁场对电流的作用;从能量转化的角度理解发电机和电动机的工作原理.这些知识是电磁学部分的基础内容,体现在中考中,题量不是很大,试题难度也不高,考查的题型主要有选择题、填空题、作图题、实验题和探究题.
