社会稳定学是以社会人群之间的利益矛盾为主线，研究社会稳定与不稳定相互转化规律的学科。它需要从社会稳定学意义上对利益这一有争议的概念进行全面、准确的介定。本文为此介定了广义利益和狭义利益。广义利益包括：有形利益、无形利益和中介利益。并认为利益是人之需要客体，其存在形式和流动方式是社会人群之间利益矛盾的产物 Social stability is based on the interests of the community among the contradictions between the main line, the study of social stability and instability of mutual transformation of disciplines.
