伴随着现代工业文明的迅速发展,大众文化在二十世纪三十年代广泛兴起于西方资本主义社会。作为对现代工业文明、传统文化、主流意识反叛的一种文化形态,大众文化从其一开始产生便受到社会备界的广泛关注,批判否定者有之,不屑一顾者有之,击节叫好者有之,但这些都没有妨碍大众文化的迅猛发展。我国从八十年代发展起来的大众文化也遇到了同样的境遇。作为当今社会与主流文化相对应的一种主要文化形态,现在我们对待它的问题已不是承认不承认的问题,而主要是应如何规范引导的问题。
