Crimp Force Monitor is a product using highly sensitive force sensors to detect defective crimping. This paper focuses mainly on the software and hardware designs of Crimp Force Monitor based on the MCU Cygnal C8051F310. The system contains: Memory, A/D, I/O and RS-232 modules and application program on the host. Experiment result shows the monitor has high reliability; it can detect eligible and defective products correctly.
