原始佛教的孝道观与中国儒家的孝道观原本存在着很大的差异。印度佛经故事中的目连,在明代郑之珍的《目连救母劝善戏文》中却演变成了一个儒家式的模范孝子。他对母亲一味顺从,失去了原始佛教中子女与父母关系平等的色彩。遁入空门在早期儒家看来是大逆不道的行为,但是到了目连身上竟成了至孝之举。目连是个儒、佛矛盾交织的人物形象,从他身上,我们可以窥到佛教孝道观儒家化的痕迹。
The original Buddhist concept of filial piety and Chinese Confucian concept of filial piety there is a great difference. The eyeshadowing in the Indian Buddhist scriptures evolved into a Confucian model of filial piety in the “Eyeshield Rescue and Motivating the Good Opera” of Zheng Zhizhen in the Ming Dynasty. He obeyed his mother blindly and lost the equal relationship between the original Buddhist sons and their parents.
