The First Metallurgical Research Institute and the 15th Metallurgical Company formed a “three-combined” experimental group to conduct experimental research on hyperbolic parabolic long shell roofs. This long shell (negative Gaussian curvature, known as the saddle-shaped long shell) has the advantages of advanced structure, favorable for roof waterproofing and good economic effect, and is a better form of beam-to-plate joint roof structure. However, there is little practical knowledge about the use of cranes in industrial plants. The “Triple Bonding” test team adopted the prestressed hyperboloid paraboloid long shell roof structure in the 15th Metallurgical Mechanization Company’s rebuilt workshop project, and carried out a stage summary. The workshop is a single-span plant with a span of 18 meters, a column spacing of 6 meters, a building area of 864 square meters, and a column top.
