据新华社报道,江泽民总书记在9月27日至29日于广州召开的中南、西南十省区经济工作座谈会上发表了重要的讲话。他强调指出:抓住机遇,加快发展,集中力量把经济搞上去,是我们坚定不移的方针,邓小平同志多次讲过的“发展才是硬道理”是千真万确的。发展速度低不行,那会处于被动地位,受制于人。但同时又要尊重客观规律,量力而行,注意稳妥,避免损失。江泽民强调,解决当前和今后经济发展中的矛盾和问题,根本出路在于深化改革,加快建立社会主义市场经济体制。建立新的经济体制是一项宏大的社会系统工程问题。
